AI media asset management for editing workflows
Find the shot your next edit needs across your analyzed footage library. Jumper connects local AI search, source review, and organized selects to Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and Avid Media Composer.
What is AI media asset management for video editing?
AI media asset management uses content analysis to help teams find and organize media by what appears or is said in a recording. Jumper handles the editorial discovery part of that workflow: it indexes footage locally, finds matching source ranges, and helps editors save and use them. It works alongside your storage, media asset management (MAM), and review systems; it does not provide a hosted asset repository, rights-management system, or client approval portal.
A footage library you can search, review, and use
Search across projects and offline drives
Enable Search All Analyzed Media to search every file represented in your accessible analysis folder, including footage outside the current project and on disconnected drives. Reconnect the source drive before opening, importing, or editing its original media.
Review the relevant source moments
Use visual descriptions, spoken phrases, or named people to locate promising moments. Review the source picture and dialogue in context, then save a segment or whole clip with comments and color markers in a Tag Collection.
Share analysis and editorial selects
Point your team at a shared analysis folder on a NAS or shared drive to reuse analysis and shared Tag Collections. Each workstation accessing analysis from another machine needs Jumper Pro. Source-media access and folder permissions remain part of your storage setup.
Bring discovered footage into the edit
Jumper’s NLE integrations open matching footage, mark relevant ranges, and add results to a timeline or sequence. Prepare the library in the standalone app or search while editing. Installation, linking, and timeline actions depend on the editing application.
From incoming footage to a reusable editorial library
- 01
Prepare and analyze
Add the project’s footage and choose the analysis you need. For recurring intake, Jumper Pro Watch Folders can analyze new arrivals automatically. Add those files or folders to the Media Table to include them in project search.
- 02
Find, review, and organize
For a documentary, search an interview topic and matching archive shots; for a campaign, find earlier product coverage. Verify each result and collect selects by scene, character, or deliverable so the next editor can revisit them.
- 03
Edit and reuse
Open selected ranges in the connected NLE and assemble the sequence. Keep useful selects available for revisions and later projects. Send finished cuts through your team’s review and approval process.

Questions
Is Jumper a complete media asset management system?
Jumper provides local AI footage search, analysis, collections, and NLE integrations for editorial media management. Use an existing MAM or storage system for requirements such as asset permissions, rights tracking, and delivery governance.
Does Jumper only search inside the current project?
No. Search All Analyzed Media searches files represented in the accessible analysis folder across projects and storage drives. The default project context is one search scope, not a restriction on library-wide search.
Can I search footage on a disconnected drive?
Yes, if the footage was previously analyzed and its analysis data is still accessible. Search uses that analysis data. Reconnect the drive before opening or importing the original media into an edit.
Can Jumper help with video review and post-production revisions?
Yes. Editors can find and review source moments, keep notes with selects, and search for replacement shots after feedback. Jumper is not a browser-based client review or approval portal for finished cuts.
Can editors share media analysis and Tag Collections?
Yes. Configure the same shared analysis folder and choose Shared when creating a Tag Collection. Workstations reading another machine’s analysis need Jumper Pro, and editors need access to the source footage to open and edit it.
Does this workflow require uploading footage to the cloud?
Jumper analyzes and searches media locally on macOS and Windows. Analysis is stored separately from the original files. Teams can choose a shared location for analysis without uploading footage to a Jumper-hosted library.
Which editing applications does Jumper integrate with?
Jumper integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro on macOS, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and Avid Media Composer. The standalone app is available on macOS and Windows. Check the linked compatibility guide for application versions and requirements.
