What's New in Jumper - August 27, 2026
Jumper v2026.08.27 is now available for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows. On macOS, update through Auto-check for updates in the Jumper launcher. On Windows, download and run the latest installer.
Analysis jobs that survive a restart
ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude can now list, monitor, cancel, and resume durable analysis jobs after you reconnect or restart Jumper. Phases that have already finished are reused.
A Script Editor tab
Script Editor now has its own tab: a transcript sidebar, local edits that persist, adjustable text size, and a clearer overview of search matches and removed sections.
Read more in the Script Editor guide.
Enterprise, people, and tags
The Enterprise Admin portal has been redesigned. From it you can set up Company SSO, assign seat policies, control which tabs and Analysis folders a seat can use, distribute managed settings, and deploy required models. Read more in the Enterprise documentation.
In People, one command merges every face group that shares a name. Speech matches can be added to a Tag Collection as the exact segment or as the whole clip. Visual results in every NLE integration can Show in Finder / File Explorer and Export Subclip. In Standalone, you can export one speech match, or all of them, as subclips.
Summaries, Avid, and large libraries
Summary Analysis is more careful about names, brands, places, titles, and fictional characters. It grounds them in the transcript, named faces, and readable on-screen text. Duplicate requests are prevented, and Jumper can recommend the completed Face Collection with the best coverage of named people.
Summary Analysis setups are saved as drafts you can restore or delete. A finished Summary Analysis can be deleted on its own, without touching the media or any other analysis.
Avid mapping is more clip-aware for master clips, subclips, grouped and multicam clips, and several ranges from the same source. Jumper uses native OTIO export when it is available, and supports newer Media Composer releases, including 2025.12.2 and 2026.8.
Large libraries and folders on a NAS are faster to work in. Filename filtering waits until you press Enter or Search. Thumbnail lookup skips unnecessary checks of the old cache, metadata writes are lighter, and disconnected storage roots are skipped.
Onboarding now explains the tradeoffs between visual-search models. Downloads, loading progress, missing speech models, analysis stages, and failures that stop a job are easier to see.
In Standalone, minimizing keeps the interface as you left it, and closing refreshes it the next time you open Jumper. The window keeps its size and position. On macOS it stays reachable through Cmd-Tab and the Dock.
Improvements and fixes
- Final Cut Pro: fixed library search and clip navigation with Final Cut Pro 12.3.
- DaVinci Resolve: fixed intermittent timeline insertion and Source Viewer failures after the project, timeline, or Media Pool changed.
- Fixed the Paste button sometimes being intercepted in the visual and speech search fields, including paste from the context menu and dictation or text tools.
- Fixed visual data from different Analysis folders or models getting mixed after a settings change. Incompatible models are filtered out, and a model that fails to load falls back with a clear message.
- People: fixed names and groups going stale after reconnecting or refreshing analysis data. A rename, merge, or regroup that fails is no longer shown as successful.
- Windows Standalone: fixed dragging files or folders into Jumper sometimes failing.
- Fixed metadata and analysis problems with very high-resolution stills, image and audio MXF files, BRAW metadata, Windows MXF identifiers, and timecode or subprocess output that is not ASCII.
- Fixed Summary models that failed to load under ASCII or non-UTF-8 locales, or that stayed marked invalid after their support files were repaired.
