It’s always interesting when a tool proves useful beyond the box it was originally built for.
Jumper started in editing workflows, but the core capability—searching large image and video collections quickly and locally—clearly has a wider life.
Ishaan Jhaveri, computational reporter and producer, just published a guide on building your own reverse image search engine for investigative journalists. We’re glad to see AI used in a practical way for serious investigative work, and proud that Jumper is featured as one of the tools in the guide.
Ishaan is currently with BBC Eye Investigations and previously worked on the New York Times Visual Investigations team.
